Fashion brands supporting LGBTQ Pride

June is Pride month, and this year fashion brands and stars are celebrating bigger and better than ever!

Lady Gaga has teamed up with Donatella Versace on a stylish collection of ready to wear, while Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty dropped it’s first Pride lingerie capsule and Laverne Cox collaborated with SodaStream on a product designed to encourage consumers to share their stories.

To celebrate Pride, longtime friends and collaborators Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace have teamed up for a capsule collection benefiting the Born This Way Foundation, the award-winning singer’s charity dedicated to mental health support for young people, particularly LGBTQIA youth.

Gaga took to Instagram to show off the goods.

Laying on a couch giving a kissy face, the superstar dons a white tee with the words Born This Way in black and Versace in rainbow capital letters blazoned across the front, and a black beret.

In the caption, Gage wrote ‘Versace has always been a leader. Since Gianni, Donatella, Allegra, and still now they have celebrated the beautiful colors of love we have  within us to offer each other.

‘We were all more different, and different is beautiful.

‘Thank you Donatella for supporting LGBTQ+ mental health and the Born This Way tenth anniversary.’ 

Donatella responded with ‘Yesssssssssssss Gaga! I LOVE YOU and everything you stand for. We were all BORN THIS WAY.’

Staying true to its commitment to inclusivity and representation, the campaign celebrates individuality, races and every Body.  

‘If you are supporting people that are the ‘norm’ and bring in these high level photoshopped looks, if that’s how you rock, then that’s how you rock,’ said  Fenty model Jazzmyne Robbins.

‘But we also have to include everybody else on the spectrum and even if it’s not for you, you accept people no matter what.’

Each style from the Pride collection was shot on members of the LGBTQIA+ community by photographer, Quil Lemons.  

The highly anticipated collection features styles ranging from – Smoking Jackets to Jock Straps to Rib Crop Tops and thigh-high stockings.  

‘Pride is all about appreciating your authentic self. I am very excited about this collection and showing love and support to the LGBTQIA+ community, which includes so many of our customers, team members and fans,’ said Rihanna

 A virtual party on June 24 will follow.

The new sparkling water maker features a sleek matte black design and comes with a special pack of six rainbow markers, inviting consumers to personalize their machines by writing or illustrating their Rainbow Story.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to ILGA World, a global LGBTQI+ NGO.

15% of total sales from select items in the collection will be donated to HRC.
