Fox Hill park lands first tenant, $18.7M investment for Fountain Inn

One year after its establishment was announced, Fox Hill Business Park is set to have its first tenant and, consequently, Fountain Inn’s biggest taxpayer.

The Greenville Area Development Corporation announced the $18.7 million investment from Gissing North America at its annual meeting Wednesday morning. Gissing manufactures vehicle acoustic components for BMW, GM, Ford, Nissan, Toyota and more.

“Their decision to create over 100 jobs in Fountain Inn is a testament to not only the economic health of our region, but also to Gissing’s recognition of how important a community is to their company’s location and values,” Fountain Inn Mayor G.P. McLeer said.

Fox Hill Business Park in Fountain Inn will soon have its first tenant, Greenville Area Development Corporation announced Wednesday.

Gissing North America will hire 116 people for its Fountain Inn location, administrator Shawn Bell said, and become the city’s largest taxpayer. It should be up and running inside the spec building at Fox Hill later this year.

Fox Hill Business Park is the first Class A commerce park built in the county in more than a decade, according to GADC. Developers broke ground on the 172-acre park last summer.
