Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has been admitted to the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi with post-Covid complications. Information about Ramesh Pokhriyal’s symptoms has not been shared with the public.
Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank admitted to AIIMS due to post-Covid complications today, news agency ANI quoted AIIMS officials as saying.
Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, 61, had contracted coronavirus on April 21 but resumed office after his recovery from Covid-19. The Union Minister of education took to his Twitter handle to announce that he tested positive for Covid-19.
In a tweet, Ramesh Pokhriyal said, “This is to inform you all that I have tested Covid positive. I am taking medication and treatment as per the advice of my doctors. I request all those who have come in my contact recently to get themselves tested.”
Meanwhile, sources have told India Today TV that the education ministry’s decision on CBSE board exams is unlikely today. The Centre has asked the Supreme Court that it needs two days to decide on the CBSE board exams.
