USD 305 announces director for Central Kansas Cooperative in Education

Salina Unified School District 305 announced Jeff Hayes will serve as the executive director for Central Kansas Cooperative in Education (CKCIE).


On July 1, Hayes, who has served as the assistant director for CKCIE for the past four years, will take over the executive director position from Mike Lowers, who retires at the end of June.

In addition to serving as assistant director, Hayes has worked with the district for 28 years, including 14 as the CKCIE program coordinator and 10 years as a school psychologist.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Bethany College and a master’s an specialist in education degrees from Emporia State University. Hayes also obtained a building leadership license from Baker University and district leadership license at Fort Hays State University.
